This year we will again be using the Quaver’s Marvelous World of Music (QuaverMusic.com), an online Music Curriculum. This program has cutting-edge resources that give me new and engaging ways to bring music to life for your child! Students in my classroom will be introduced to Quaver’s world via fun, video episodes, in addition to the various interactive whiteboard activities.
If you’ve been looking for a way to encourage your child to love music at home – to enjoy listening, creating, and learning more about it, QuaverMusic.com is a great place to start – an interactive virtual world that gives your child the freedom to create, explore, and learn about music in a safe, age-appropriate world they will love.
I use QuaverMusic.com to distribute assignments and reinforce lesson objectives with musical games and quests. The site is free to students in the classroom and is accessible from home – so they can continue to foster a love of music wherever they are.
In order for easy sign-on, I will be creating an account for them and linking it to their existing @sumterstudents.net google accounts. They simply go to QuaverMusic.com, click on the sign-on window, click on “sign on with Google”, type in their existing @sumterstudents.net credentials, and BOOM CHICKA BOOM they are in!
Also, this year I will be using ClassDojo to encourage important skills, like working hard and participating. I will also use it to communicate with you: we can instantly share messages, updates, and photos from class. It is the easiest way for you to see how your child is doing at school and to get in touch with me. I would like all families to join me and sign up for ClassDojo! You can use it on any device; it is a simple, free mobile app for iOS and Android, and can also be used from a computer at: www.classdojo.com.
If you have any questions, please contact me using the below email and I’ll be happy to assist in any way possible.
